What were your duties as an NCLA intern? I drafted legal memoranda related to amicus filings.
What did you most enjoy about your internship? I enjoyed working in close proximity with the litigators and engaging in substantive legal work.
What interesting thing(s) did you learn about Administrative Law? I learned that this is one of the most actively litigated areas of constitutional law.
How might you use what you’ve learned later in your professional career? My research and writing skills have improved. I’ll use those every step of the way in my career. Also, having proximate knowledge of administrative law will serve me well when I take an admin law class and beyond.
Any advice for other students who want to intern at NCLA in the future? Take your legal writing classes seriously! Put time into building those skills.
