Hobbies: Playing guitar, scouring record shops, exploring local breweries, and watching a good baseball game.

What were your duties as an NCLA intern?

I assisted on identifying case opportunities, legal research, and drafting litigation documents including complaints and briefs.

What did you most enjoy about your internship? I enjoyed being able to work intimately with our talented litigators to learn from their experiences and think about applying them to my own career.

What interesting thing(s) did you learn about Administrative Law?

I learned a lot about how modern administrative law is not just a separation of powers issue, but an individual liberty issue that can have dramatic and deleterious effects on everyday Americans.

How might you use what you’ve learned later in your professional career?

My time at NCLA will help with writing and research as well as thinking creatively about litigation in which the goal is to push the law forward. My experience will further assist with identifying clients and networking in the liberty movement.

Any advice for other students who want to intern at NCLA in the future?

I’d recommend reading law review articles on the unconstitutionality/threat of the administrative state and I’d advise taking administrative and constitutional law before starting if you can.
